Hi,

how to backup the library? I recently got a new computer and installed filter forge on it. Then I copied the ffxml files from my old computer to the new one. However, filter forge told then that it has to rebuild the library structure and connected online to do so. That worked, but I would like to know what else I have to backup so that an online connection is not necessary to get everything working.

cheers, drjee

the recommended way to back up your filters is to copy the entire filter forge folder found in c:\documents and settings\youruseraccount\application data\ . that will back up all your library filters, caches, thumbnails, and My Filters along with environments and all inputted data which isnt actually the program itself, except maybe the keycode, which i think is stored in the registry.
If wishes were horses... there'd be a whole lot of horse crap to clean up!
