----I dunno about Gimp or PS Elements, but FF runs as a stand-alone too.

it's been a while since i used the Gimp, but i believe it can use .8bf plugins (which is the type FF is) and Elements, being a cut version of photoshop shld surely use FF just fine.

i shld probably know what 'ftw' stands for; i'm sure i've been told before, but, what's it mean?

or maybe the better question is, how did you mean it? ( http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=F.T.W. )

On the interwebs the term "FTW" commonly means "For the Win". Another popular variation is "FTL" or "For the Loss"

Adobe Photoshop Elements 2.0, 3.0, 4.0, 5.0 and 6.0 are officially supported host applications.
As for Gimp -- no, no way. Gimp just crashes smile:)
