Filter Forge - Questions about selling filters

Hello,

I was wondering if I could get some clarification about the sale of filters. Basically I want to sell them in an online game where textures can be used to create 3D worlds. This isn't a game I own, simply one I participate in and would like to sell these filters as textures used for building and design. I have Filterforge and I can create my own filters, so here are my questions.

Am I safe to assume that I can sell anything I make? Meaning that I came up with it start to finish?

I'm guessing it's off limits to sell anything from the filters library on the site? Whether it's with or without permission?

As a bit of clarification, this isn't to make a record profit, at most, I'd finance the cost of keeping the little shop open, I simply want to see the use of higher quality design textures in this game. I figured it was better safe than sorry so I wanted to ask first.

If you're talking about something like Second Life or the like, you should be fine selling textures made from filters you create.

There is some question about selling textures from other people's filters, that's a bit stickier, but the stuff that YOU create you can do whatever you like with.

Right, thank you for the clarification.

I just want to be sure I don't break any rules or use anyones content against their will. I guess the best course of action would be to ask directly for permission.

there are NO restrictions on selling ANY and ALL of the textures and effects in the current FF library. read the various eula's and you'll see. that's the legal situation. ethically, that may be a bit different, so if you feel your conscience tweaking at you, why, follow that smile;)
