This site is not a texture resource.
The images are to show what can be done using the filters on this site....to use the images themself would be a copyright infringment of this site. But you can get the filter and render your own version fairly easy |

Where does it say so?
And who is to say that somebody using a texture didn't do so? Even if you put a Copyright notice on the individual textures here (which currently there isn't AFAIK), that copyright becomes unenforceable because anyone can DL the trial version, use it to render the images in question, and use them. Since any images rendered by FForge are his/hers to use freely under current Filterforge Copyright, they only need to say this is the way they got those textures to make it impossible to bring any suit against them. Please understand, I'm not saying this is *ethical*, just what you can probably get away with. Me, I view any of the images on Filterforge's site as free to use, as long as I don't try to claim them as mine or sell them (as some have done). And even that last cannot be prohibitted under the current EULA ![]() In ancient Egypt, Cats used to be revered as Gods.
Cats have never forgotten this. And rightly so. |

geez are you guys so caught up in the eula stuff that you have to jump and disect any comment about copyrights.
Well, maybe this is something else that should be mentioned in the eula discussion thread. But until then, it is pretty simple....this site is run by FF is the property of FF, as such, any images or code (which the images are) on this site is their copyright...and unless they specifically say the images are free content for people to use as resources, then the implied copyright of site ownership is in place as it would be for any website anywhere online. Perhaps FF should put watermarks on all their images here as well as part of the whole eula debackle....because what is worse than people actually buy the program and use its presets, is people who just come to the site to harvest the tilable textures without even having to purchase anything. |

Sorry......I didn't mean to offend you.....just feel strongly about the issue..... ![]()
True.....the author being made the licencer means absolutely nothing with no user restrictions under the current EULA..... Steve

No worries, no offense taken, I actually meant to put one of those laughing smileys at the end of that comment because the whole eula discussion has taken so many twists and turns that it has become a bit laughable. ![]() Rawn |

hi your face, and welcome to FF.
the answer to your question is here: http://www.filterforge.com/termsofuse.html it's actually a very valid question. i hadnt even thought about folks just copying textures off the various filter display pages. at any rate, read the terms of use page. that's where your answer lies. If wishes were horses... there'd be a whole lot of horse crap to clean up!
