yes, the display will render tile by tile.

FF shld work with any editor that accepts photoshop compatible .8bf plugins.

the support is good. i've been here since the early beta test days and always found the FF team accessible and more than willing to help. and since the beta, there have been several version updates with fixes. just be aware that the forums are not the same thing as the contact e-mail. forums will give you irregular help, while the e-mail contact link is the proper and more reliable way to contact FF.

for your third question, there are threads here in the forums dealing with that and you can always read the EULA (end user license agreement). for me to say you can or cant wouldnt be appropriate, since this is a legal matter and i aint no lawyer

You wouldn't want to download 3800 filters all at once... ...besides, you can't, you'll just have to download them one at a time (the're fairly small in filesize).
