I observed when rendering (esp. when seamless tiling is set) the renderprocess goes on, even the whole picture is already finished.
I cant see any more impovements but the rendering is still going on for about 20 sec. or more. First I thought it might be the antialiasing, but I switched it off. What is "he" doing ? regards, rilos |

This is the anti-aliasing pass.
You can zoom closer to make them more visible.
When AA is turned off, the second pass is very short. If it takes as long as before, this may be a bug. Could you post the filter here? |

Hi Vlad,
I would like to post filters, but cant connect yet ![]() Will try other firewallsettings from home - got some more information from your programmers - thanks ! I think I had the problem with the wood filter (already in the library) with some parameter changes. I'm quite sure AA was set to no. Why is there a second pass anyway ? regards, rilos |

Just post the filter as an attachment here in the forum (press Ctrl-L when the filter is selected in Filter Forge browser, you'll get an Explorer window with filter in question selected).

To show the first results faster. If you don't like this, you can turn the Progressive Previews off, but this will look a lot slower. |

@Vlad: But I really cant see any improvements even in 100% oder 200% enlargement. The second pass is a mistery to me, when there's no AA activated.
@onyXMaster: Just try the general wood filter in a bigger resolution (probably with nearly every filter that takes its time). Get a render size of 1000x1000 Pixel (or more) by opening any picture of that size and try the filter in full view. Activate the seamless tiling and wait... Try to save the image before rendering ends. When the main image (the frame-tile) is ready the rendering still goes on for quite a while. If you have big sizes, that can mean 20 seconds and much more... regards, rilos |

Hi Vlad,
sorry, I think it was my mistake. The AA-setting is normally set to 5samples, if I switch it off, there is nearly no time-lack after rendering the tiles completely. Here is one of my filters, anyway - kind of Burlwood. Still cant upload the filters directly via ff (tried everything now). Burlwood3.ffxml regards, rilos |
