I just started the daunting task of takeing 5 very different photos and plugging them through ALL the filters
from high contrast and good foccus to just the opposite Its amazeing how many INCLUDEING my own depend on something with a decent amount of contrast and focus and centered... I wonder ---dont hit me FF staff if in a future incarnation in editor mode we could have maybe 5 photos to preview with and actually open up aditional preview panes to see how changes affect different style photos lets all whine for a wine port |

Yes, this is definitely a good idea and we considered it -- it was postponed due to the amount of work involved. I think this can be implemented into the Submit Wizard. It would show the filter with different preview images, with selection, on non-square images, with seamless tiling on and off, etc.

Imagine having a toggle above the Filter Editor Preview Window which switches between the currently loaded image, the default lifesaver and several other 'default' images provided by FF (or set by the user, alternatively). This way, a filter's behaviour could be conveniently tested with a wider range of images directly from WITHIN the Editor. Seems more convenient to me than previewing this from the Submit Wizard... ![]() --- Crapadilla says: "Damn you, stupid redundant feature requests!" ;) |

or even doing it slidescale style, dilla... load new image automatically ever X number of seconds or minutes. might not be great for working in editor mode, but could be useful for 'final inspection' mode.
If wishes were horses... there'd be a whole lot of horse crap to clean up!

Wow. Before I submit a filter I generally test it on a slew of photos, the life save, a jet, a shark, and sometimes a family photo. Anyway, I am not asking you to go out of your way to test my filters, but if you do happen to test one of my filters and the image doesn't turn out right; let me know. I am always keen to improve my library. ![]() |

Sounds good, but I'm not sure if we can load an image into FF cache during an Editor session. As for the Submit Wizard, I think it's a good place for this functionality as well, because it will reduce the number of, uhmm, 'suboptimal' filters submitted to the Library. |
