hi all,
I do not understand why the preset on FF site are different from those I created and sent. This is really annoying as I spent much time finding the precise presets that look good and when I see them on-line they are all randomized and look bad ![]() The best example of it is my Sun filter : http://www.filterforge.com/filters/3044.html FF default preset : ![]() My default preset ![]() |

The presets shown on the FF site are always, always, with the *Seamless Tiling* box checked, (at the very bottom of the presets area, just above the Randomizer), that is why yours have appeared differently. To make sure they look the same, make your presets with that box checked, and they will not change then when your filter is posted in the library, and on the webpage that is created for it.

Also, as you probably noticed, only the first 9 presets you make show up, so it's always good to make those your best of, and the main one, the best of the best. If you only make one or two presets, then FF will hit Randomize for you, and the rest of the 9 presets that show up on the webpage for your filter, will be random and probably not look so great.

Is it possible that someone from FF make a special operation to remove seamlessness from this filter presets as this is not done to be seamless ? It is experimental art.
Thank you beforehand. |

Yeah I saw that. For this case, only the first preset is suitable as this is not a texture just a art picture not meant to be tweaked.

with the community wanting non-seamless stuff like we do, i'm sure that at some point we'll move into a dual system of seamless and non-seamless. but for now what the others said is how it is. you just have to take it into account when making your presets, descriptions and comments.
If wishes were horses... there'd be a whole lot of horse crap to clean up!
