Hi together,

I have only one computer that has access to the internet, the other doesn't.
So I downloaded a lot of filters with the one on the web, and copied the filters
from the location ... docs_and_settings\USER\Application Data\filterforge\System\Library where the new filters occur when I download them.

Now, when I just copy them to the same location on the other computer, the new filters don't work.
I dont see the nee filters in the library and if I choose one from the List by <Filter> -> <locate Filter> I get the error message:

"Cannot load filter .... - you need to update the filter library structure. Connect and update now ?"

So it seems again, I need web-access?

How do I copy the new filters so that it works ?

Tanks a lot!

regards rilos

You should also copy the "LibraryStructure.xml" file. This will update the library structure without connecting to the Internet.

It is stored in Documents and Settings\YOUR_USER_NAME\Application Data\Filter Forge\System.

Thank you, Bella - I will try this.

I also copied the filters to the location in the programm files\system - folders.
Was that right, or does it disturb the system?

And I also copied the thumbnails, do I need them or does ff build them itself?

Thank you!

Thanks

This folder stores the default pack of filters Filter Forge is shipped with. You shouldn't have copied other filters here but if you did, it's not a catastrophe. Filter Forge should run smoothly nonetheless.

This was unnecessary. Filter Forge does render them itself.

What about generating my own Filter-folder-structure?

This would be helpfull as filter-amounts rise and rise.
