I've got 5 high use filters!!! back in February I didn't think I'd get even 3 to qualify for the free copy, now I'm just blown away! WOW!

Congratulations Northernshadow, you've earned it! Wow, your batting average is simply amazing being able to get 5 awards in 14 filters! You must have an excellent eye at telling what users want and delivering the goods!

Hey Kraellin, I just checked and I might be a bit off, but I think you actually have at least 3 reward winners between Glass Menagerie II, Frame Forge 3, and Frosty Morning Window and possibly more ^_^

Oh! And needless to say, ubersev's snippets are the best, at least a third of my filters use at least one part in them ~^_^~ If there's anyone who deserves an award for snippets, it's you ^_-

----I 2nd that, and for collab filters, like if/when 2 people work on a filter, they should both get (at least partial) credit toward their free copy of FF if they don't already have it. Or something. It's tough to really care/worry about any of that having a copy of FF myself now, but they got a lot of filters out of me along the way, (and a lot more filters from way better filter makers). So the incentive thing is, or at least can be, good for progression really, and should probably be encouraged perpetually here I would think. At least until the library hits 5,000 filters or so ha-ha

I can say that filter authoring has been a hugely pleasurable experience all the way, and mostly due to the excellent community here. Of course one is happy about editor's picks and rewards, but ultimately, that's totally NOT what filter authoring is about.

Personally, I create my textures specifically for use in 3D systems, and as such it came as no surprise to me that some of the more generic ones would be much appreciated by some. I always strive to create stuff that I'd love to use myself, so I polish-polish-polish until I feel I'm pleased by most of a filter's results. My work is mostly an expression of my obsession with texture and its efficient (and photorealistic) procedural reproduction. This is actually what keeps me coming back to FilterForge... for me, it's mostly about the fun of exploring patterns and texture, and the challenge of recreating them.

Also, this is why I haven't stopped making filters after earning the 5th reward: FilterForge is just too much fun to not use as a creative outlet...

Wow congrats to you all! I hope I can reach that as well! I just submitted my first filter... time, yes, I know... it is only a matter of time... thank you for your inspiration, now I'll be off to make more filters!

And thank you all for your filters, I have downloaded few for learning experiences and I must say, some are genius.... I wouldn't have thought of getting that effect. Pure genius I say!
