Assuming said filter has already earned a reward. For example, uberOOZE which was one of my first filters.

Wouldn't it be in my own best interest to submit uberOOZE v2.0 with a different name and potentially earn a another reward instead of just updatng/replacing the existing filter?

Basically, that's filter spamming. Short-term, this may work but in the long term this will require us to restrict the submission process in some way.

It's going to happen if it hasn't already, and its not always black & white. I'm working on an updated version of uberLENS that has so many changes it might as well be a different filter.

Instead of that perhaps you can just edit clones/variations to say something like "This filter is very similar to another that has already achieved a reward, therefore it is ineligible for a reward".

That makes me think that maybe there should be such thing as a "meta-filter". This would only be eligable for 1 reward but it could contain many similar filters. For example a basic and advanced version of the effect.
