Hello, a few weeks ago I contacted Filter Forge support about the compatibility of Filter Forge 11 Studio which I bought and which is now unusable on my laptop....
I've seen that they're patching FF12 but for me it's not fair that other people who bought the higher licence of FF11 for example can't benefit from a patch of their version. I believe in this project, I've been using it for at least 3 years in my workflow and now I can't use it with my laptop, only my Windows desktop. If I had bought a Studio licence, it was obviously to use FF away from home.... A bit disappointed by this problem... Hoping to get an answer via the forum. |

Not trying to ruffle any feathers... but the bug was discovered before FF13 came out, so at that time FF usually supports 2 current versions, FF11 and FF12. I think they either should fix FF11 or give you a free upgrade to FF12. Just my opinion, though. Also this should probably be in the Mac bugs forum. GMM?

This was not a bug in FF, this was Apple unilaterally breaking compatibility of older versions with Sonoma.
Since we promised the latest FF version to be compatible, we made it compatible. However FF11 was released in 2021 and was discontinued in 2022, a year before Sonoma went live. FF11 still works under the macOs version it was advertised to work under. |
