it seems as though the cookie to keep one signed in is broken and expires far quicker than it should. despite me clicking "remember me" I have to log in every new session.

despite opting out of newsletter emails in my user preferences, I'm still getting up to half a dozen emails per month from your marketing team. I've tried clicking the unsubscribe in the email before, and I've tried it again on the latest one, so hopefully it will subside, but it begs the question: is that toggle in user preferences a do-nothing button?

This toggle sets the preferences for messages sent to forum users. This is not the same as messages sent to paid customers.
