I have just seen from a video that the new On1 Photo Raw 2022 software is able to use Filter Forge (FF) as a plugin as shown on this video what is new with On1 Photo RAW 2022? you can see it on www.on1.com

At 0:43 it shows that you can use FF directly inside this software (well at least FF 10 that is the one shown)
And if it supports FF I think that it may support also any other plugins available for Photoshop to be used here instead

And at 0:58 for FF 11 Studio animations it will create an animation with the exported still images from FF 11 to create the video

And this software offers a one time payment or a subscription based, so if you do not want to use Adobe Photoshop subscription you may be able to use this Excelent and well done software

It includes surely the best and most powerful and effective noise removal I have ever seen NoNoiseAI and it work perfectly removing all the noise and also can be used to descreen printed photos to remove the halftone pattern

And it is really a very powerful and advanced software that could even replace Adobe Lightroom

On1 Photo RAW 2022 - A Lightroom killer?

This software has evolved since 20 years ago and is not at all new, and they have been the creators of the original Genuine fractals to enlarge and resize images, and in 2022 they have made the new Resize AI that is really awesome

I'm not crazy about On1. I was a customer at least as far back as 2010 and purchased all their software for years. I soured on the company when they migrated to a new software authentication method, and instead of unlocking all their old software (one of my favorite software programs was PhotoFrame) so that existing purchasers could still use it, they simply discontinued the product and removed the download from their site. When I got a new PC I was unable to authenticate my existing copy and so I was locked out of a piece of software that I had paid for. Unfortunately, it was one I really liked and used a lot. I kept purchasing their updates every year, though, and the frame functionality was supposed to be incorporated in their photo suites. It wasn't really though. Only a few frames were available and it wasn't as versatile. One of my annual purchases (I think it was photo suite version 10) never ran on my PC. It would crash immediately upon loading, and On1 support was unable to troubleshoot the problem, though I spent days and days just following their instructions. At the end, they recommended that I simply go back to using photo suite version 9. At some point I stopped using their software because once they started to copy all the Lightroom functionality, it became really slow, and Lightroom was still a pleasure to use. But the main reason I would never replace Lightroom with On1 is that the Adobe photo subscription includes both Lightroom and Photoshop, and On1 is not a replacement for Photoshop. I am not an artist or designer but I use Photoshop constantly to design little things, and there are hundreds of inexpensive but brilliant Photoshop actions that I use all on photos all the time.
