Removing Comments On Filters

I was wondering if it was possible to have all comments removed on old filters that are being re-submitted in a significanly modified form? For example, I am re-submitting my old disfunctional "GlassWorxExtreme" filter in a greatly enhanced form. I would like to remove all the old comments that no longer apply to the updated filter.....so that I can post a few example pics at the beginning to immediately illustrate the filter enhancements. If posted at the end of the comments, it is highly unlikely that a user will scroll through and find them. It would also allow the user immediate viewing of examples that are much better than the limitted life preserver presets....

Would it be possible to give authors editting access to the comment strings associated with their filters?
