Filter Forge 9 disappeared in New Photoshop 2021 installation.

I just installed Photoshop 2021 and the Filter Forge 9, 8, and 7 I had in the previous version disappeared. How can I put the plug ins back into PS 2021?

This happened with the last big update from Adobe for Photoshop. Filter forge used this as an excuse to purchase Filter Forge 9 to be compatible. I hope they don't do this again!Yes,my Filter Forge 9 has gone from the latest update too! Please could you sort this out Filter Forge, thanks

In the 21.2.4 version of Photoshop, I copied the Filter Forge plug in folder from the plug in folder. I pasted this in the 22.0 plug in folder. Now Filter Forge 9 is working in the latest update. Hope this works for you if you are having problems.

Copy this folder and files:
c:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop 2020\Plug-ins\Filters\*.*

to this folder and files?:
c:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop 2021\Plug-ins\Filters\*.*

Yes - it works
you need admin rights

Edit: Solved it:

Shut down Photoshop

In Finder, open: Applications > Filter Forge 9
Make an alias of 'Filter Forge 9 universal.plugin'

In another Finder window, open: Applications > Adobe Photoshop 2021 > Plug-ins
Copy alias to the Photoshop Plug-ins folder (do not actually copy the plugin - it must be an alias!) ← Will ask you for admin privs

Hi, it works the same on MAC.

Just copy an alias into the plugin folder of Photoshop.

I had the same problem.

Mac or Windows?

On Mac … select the plugin and right click > create alias.

Do you have PSD 2021 ínstalled?
