Hello Forum,
My CC has just updates from CC 2019 to CC 2020 and the Filter Forge 8 plugin does not work, although it appears in the CC Filters Folder if you click to run Filter Forge CC crashes. Does anyone know of a fix for this? Andrew thanks |

Just got a reply from FF support team:
Filter Forge Support 1 Dear Raymond Unfortunately Photoshop CC 2020 is not supported yet: https://www.filterforge.com/download/hosts.html The plugin will be added in the next program version. For now, you can copy and paste your images from Photoshop into standalone Filter Forge. Best regards, Filter Forge Support |

Many thanks for the update Raymond,
Although I am not very happy I have to buy a new release of FF when all my other plugins just work. Surely a simple update patch will do the trick? Your investigation is much appreciated Regards Andrew |

I am new to FF.
Bought the Professional Edition plus a lifetime upgrade 3 days ago Loaded it with Photoshop 2019 and all was good. Photoshop CC just upgraded to Photoshop 2020 and as noted in this thread it is now toast. So I got to use it 1 time - Expensive single use { ![]() A couple of Questions if I may - does anyone know: 1. Will FF 9 support Photoshop 2020? 2. Are there any plans to fix FF so that it does not break. 3. Do all users who did not buy the lifetime upgrade option have to re-buy ff every time Adobe upgrades Photoshop. Also - I sent this text out as an email by mistake - not sure to who. my Apologies for that. Thanks Roy |

I have also updated to photoshop 2020. Surely filter forge should also update their plugin to support this, instead of having to purchase ff9! Having to use the stand alone version each time you need a filter is a pain.
Please sort this out support. Thanks Kevin |

Hi,
I absolutely love Filter Forge but now it does not work with the upgraded version of Photoshop CC 2020. This is driving me CRAZY! I want to be able to work with PS layers seamlessly as I do with my other plug-ins but without that, I'm lost. I am having to work in the standalone version of Filter Forge. Will this problem persist as Adobe Photoshop CC continues to upgrade in the future? Will you be able to keep up? I just can't imagine working like this. Please advise. Thanks, Carol |

Glad to hear I'm not alone. Angry that Filter Forge hasn't seen fit to provide a reasonable response, and REFUSE to spend $200 upgrading Filter Forge on the vague promise that it *might* be fixed in the future. Their suggestion that we copy/past into the standalone version is obnoxious at best.

Is true that as far as I know is the first time that there is no support for a newer photoshop version for previous versions of FF and only the latest version support the latest photoshop
YOU CAN HAVE MULTIPLE PHOTOSHOP CC VERSIONS AND NOT ONLY THE LATEST ONE Maybe you do not know it but a possible alternative and option if you are still using FF 8, you CAN also download any older version of Photoshop with your subscription, it is allowed to have multiple Photoshop version installed in your computer, I have 3 different Photoshop versions installed for compatibility with some plugins Install previous versions of Photoshop CC together with the latest one Be aware that is possible that proyects and works that are done in the latest version may not work in a previous versions |

Thank you SpaceRay, though note this only works for the previous four releases, which means that the next time Photoshop 2020 is updated, Photoshop 2019 will vanish from the list. Filter Forge needs to fix their software.
