Jeff W Posts: 2	Can someone please provide some info on texture filters - obviously I see how effects filters work on an image in PS, but is texture filters meant to work with an image in PS, or are they their own standalone filter minus an image in PS? Thx

rachelduim So Called Tortured Artist Posts: 2498 Filters: 188	Texture filters create an image without an external image, basically they are self-contained (standalone). Examples: paper, stars, brick walls, rocks, clouds, etc etc. Effects filters modify one (or more) external images. Examples: paintings, kaleidoscopes, black and white, colorizing, abstraction and so much more. Math meets art meets psychedelia.

Jeff W Posts: 2	Thx for the explanation So basically texture filters are independent of effect filters. Texture filters are not so much filters other than people creating an images or images and offering them for others to use via Filter Forge. The word 'filter' associated with the texture images was throwing me off. Thx again
