I went to Filter Forge's Facebook page and saw an add for "Free Filter Forge 5 (100% discount) at a place called "Shareware on Sale".
I've got a lifetime upgrade now, so I'm not interested, just curious if it's legitimate.

It says that the "Sale" has ended. However, it probably is not legit... this was the giveaway:

This implies the registration code is not a true valid code or a hack, so if this comes up again, beware...

It was legit two years ago. This site gave away FF5 for free for one day. I have no idea why they keep advertising it on FB.

Yeah, I thought I'd mention it in case it wasn't legitimate or something inappropriate was up.
Sometimes you see the boldest ads for pirated or fake software in the craziest places.
