I was wondering if anyone has tested the 2990WX with filter forge 7. What kind of results did you get? Were all of the cores used? How was the experience? I need to know if it's worth it to purchase the cpu since i've been using this software alot in Photoshop for making experimental artwork.

Thanks. smile:)

Sorry, this is a response to a two month old thread, but you have not had any answers so far. I don't have a Threadripper, but I do have an i9-7900X which has 10 cores and 20 threads. Filter Forge 7 uses all 20 threads, with CPU maxed out at 4.2Ghz (it will go to 4.4Ghz if I let it, but it gets way too hot). A complex filter took just over three seconds on a 2000 pixel wide file. This is the sort of maxed out system usage that apps like Handbrake use. Pretty damn cool.
