Hello my fellow Filterfanatics!
I'm working on a Batchrenderer for Filter Forge. I know, why another one? Well, first an foremost, because I can't seem to find one for Mac (which I'm mainly using). I plan to change that, so I started to create my own Renderer with following Features: Downloads from Mediafire (Darwin = Mac) Already available: - Job List Creation - Watchfolder Support (with automatic rendering) Planned: - change Preset values - additional state saving - other stuff I can't remember The Software currently is in Alpha and a few UI Elements are not very user friendly (yet), so be aware of: - some bugs (nasty creatures) - the software not doing what you want - the software not doing anything at all - Buttons that are not animated yet A Quick Intro: The first start of the App sets the configuration paths to the Filter Forge Commandline Renderer and the Filters. (Windows Users: The CMDRenderer is "hidden" inside the Bin-Folder of the Filter Forge Install). After that the App opens up and is ready to go. You can drag&drop the filters fr om the left side to the Joblist. This creates a Renderjob. The settings can be changed, an Input Image chosen and the size and render Ouputpath chosen. If you want to create a Watchfolder, click the Folder Icon at the top. An Overlay appears wh ere you can manage your Watchfolders. Add a new Watchfolder, set the In- and Outputdirectories and choose the Filter you want automatically rendered plus the Format. Currently the supported Input Files are: .png, .jpg, .jpeg, .tiff, .bmp (more to follow) If you put an Image inside the watched Folder, a new Renderjob is added to the Job List and rendered automatically. As the Software is in Alpha, the Watchfolders and Job Lists are not saved on closing the App, so on restart, you have to create your Watchfolders again. I'm sorry for the inconvenience this might cause, but I did not have time to implement this. A bit background: Why am I creating this? As stated above, I wanted to have a Batchrenderer for Mac, with the Features I want. I'm currently in the middle of a Project wh ere I need this and I now reached a point wh ere I can use it. Although there are bugs, I want to continue with my Project, so the development of the tool is now halted for a few months, maybe I take some time to implement the save features, but don't quote me on that ![]() I hope this tool will help you with your work too. If you have questions, I'll try to answer them as quickly as I can. Also if you've run into trouble with the tool, or feature wishes, or anything else. Also, just feedback, I'm open to critique. See you soon and happy filtering! Hafgandil ![]() |

Hey Forgers,
I just "fixed" a MAJOR Bug that could freeze your Computer when using the Watchfolder Feature. If you copied to many Images into your Watchfolder, a lot of parallel Rendererprocesses would be started. This was not intentional and during my tests I had to restart my Computer to get rid of the multiple Processes that would clog everything. I removed the old Versions from Mediafire and uploaded the new Versions for Mac and PC: Download v0.8.6-alpha I'm sorry if some of you encountered this Problem. The "fix" was, that I disabled the automatic rendering for now, so if you copy images into the Watchfolder, they still would be conveniently added to the Joblist, but you have to manually start the Renderprocess. Please tell me what you think and what Bugs you run into. Cheers, Hafgandil |

Heyho,
new Version of the Batch Renderer. New/updated Features: - Watchfolders are now saved and restored on Startup of the Program - Autorender reenabled, multiple Processes are now fixed (please use with care though) - Renderprocess can now be stopped mid-rendering Download v0.8.8-alpha Tip: The Watchfolder Functionality can be used for Filter Stacking and Animation Rendering. Filter Stacking could be achieved by declaring the Outputfolder of the first Watchfolder as the Input of the Second Watchfolder. Be aware of infinite Renderloop when using the same Outputfolder again. Animation Rendering is self-explanatory. Just copy/paste an Image Sequence into the Input Watchfolder to start the Animation rendering. Please report any Bugs and Problems you run into. Happy Batchrendering, Hafgandil |

Nice work, I'll give it a try at some point. Animating filter controls would be great!

Have not tested it, but I think is very good to have more batch render tools as I personally do not like at all the command line renderer
Thanks very much for making this and hope that you continue developing it and adding more features and make a good, interesting, useful and awesome tool |

This is very good that it has a version both for Windows and Mac, as for Mac there was only one option available
This was put on July 2018 and it was the V.0.8.8 alpha, and have seen that the link is still in October 2020 for the same version. So it will not be updated and have a beta or final version? |

Hey,
sorry, the Version is still the most up-to-date. I didn't find the time to work on an update. I worked with my current version on my projects but I too miss some features, so I might get back to development. Do you have any feature requests? |

Hello, thanks for answering, and is good news that you want to keep working on it as it is always good to have different tools to use I have not yet used it and will do it and tell you what feature may be missing Thanks very much for helping and creating this tool and that is for either Windows and Mac |
