I have been a fan of FF for a long time but only recently did I purchase the latest addition (v7 Standalone). Previously I used FF4 which I installed so I could use it directly from my favoured paint program (PaintShop Pro 9 I know it's old but I much prefer it over Photoshop).
So I installed it normally (as the standalone) then pointed PSP9 to the correct plugin location on my hard drive. This worked on the older version but on this version I get an error message: Paint Shop Pro was unable to load the requested plug-in filter. The plug-in may not be installed properly or may be missing files. (Plugin: Filter Forge 7.8bf) I have uninstalled and reinstalled a couple of times. FF works fine as a standalone but I cannot get it to work in PSP. Any suggestions? |

PSP 9 is not supported - please check the list of supported host applications:
https://www.filterforge.com/download/hosts.html Please note FF7 has copy-paste: you can copy and paste images into FF regardless of plugins support. |

I have been using FF for a long time now, and I love it!! But I think, it's a shame, you cannot use FF7 in psp 9 and psp 11. There are many people still using the older versions of psp. Please Please Please Pretty Please change it, so I can use it in psp 9+11 again

You cannot use FF7 in older PSP versions but you can use it alongside PSP. Open Filter Forge, then open an image in PSP, press Ctrl+A, Ctrl+C, then switch to FF and press Ctrl+V to paste the image.
Try it – it's actually faster than calling the plugin ![]() |
