Filter Forge 7.007 – Bugs fixed, LUA engine updated
Alexandria, VA, USA (February 14, 2017, 2017) – Filter Forge, Inc. today released a new maintenance update to Filter Forge 7.0, a popular Photoshop plugin that allows users to create their own filters. The current update 7.007 fixes multiple issues and updates the LUA subsystem.


Could you elaborate on the recent 7.007 update, in particular the LUA part? smile:-)

I Dream In EGA and 4 other filters no longer crash smile:)

In more technical terms:
- a bug in Eris somehow messed up with multi-threading in FF (I don't know the specifics or why the bug only manifested itself in 5 LUA filters only.) We fixed the bug and filed a bug report to the Eris developer. These 5 filters work correctly now.
- FF no longer allows you to override system variables like MODE. Previously it could lead to a few hardly-to-explain crashes. Now, if you attempt to give a reserved name to a user variable, FF will throw out an error in the log.
