Hello, now that finally is available in FF 7 the very great and useful feature of making a batch export of all the render maps of 3D texture from filter forge all at once, I wonder if anyone have already tried to convert these render maps into Substance materials using any of the 3 available Algorithmic software

What experience have you had doing it?

Sorry much that I have not had the time to test it myself, as I do not have much time to do it, but as far as I know it should be easy to do and very possible, as the substance materials already include the render maps available in FF

Of course if you have tried it already before with any FF version, is exactly the same, the only difference is that now is done directly (without any external tool) much easier as FF 7 can batch export render maps at once.

Thanks

I have Substance Painter and FF6, and love both for different things.

FF is great at creating a wide variety of seamless textures. It's also a nice source of some post filters.

They synergize well; you can create a diffuse and bump (and other maps, if so inclined) with FF, then apply it to a figure with Substance Painter.

I do that too (You could make the textures in Substance Designer but it still has more aim at live textures )

Is the same Totte that is well known here in the FF forum and that he made the FFbatchmaster tool for Mac when it was not available batch rendering in FF. Is good to know that he uses Substance smile:)
