As you already know that are a huge amount of FF textures in the FF library and you could add your own images to them if wanted, but is not always easy to do it, there are some filters that let you overlay a source image over the original texture using something similar to a displace map that are really very few of them that allow this

One of the great and awesome things of FF is that is able to make 3D looking textures with lighting and shadows and so give the feeling of relief and similar to bump mapping

The problem is also the speed of FF to do it that takes much time to calculate, so instead you can render out your FF textures or FF filters results from any filter and use this below

Maybe someone could make a filter that can replicate and simulate the behaviour of the photoshop action below, do not know, AND make it fast, as it is the main problem with FF

INSTANT PHOTOSHOP TEXTURE MAPPING

If you use Photoshop (I am subscribed to the 12€ monthly) there is now the option to render and use your FF textures and also any FF filter result and be able to add your own images and texts with this awesome texture mapping technique and is really very fast

there is a new great photoshop action that will let you make very high quality and professional instant displacement map effect that is amazing how it works

Instant Photoshop Texture Mapping is not free, but not expensive at 15$ considering the professional, fast and high quality result

See the many examples images shown to see how amazing it may be

My guess would be that it is converting the background image to a normal map and then rending the foreground on top of it. I'm an FF newbie but it seems like it would be doable without going outside FF.

Thanks for sharing SpaceRay smile:)

I will definitely keep this in mind, especially if the ones below are not up to par.

Here are two others that may be helpful. I have yet to try them out, just purchased a few days ago.

I think you can put them on other objects besides faces and dont see why not, there are examples where they use clothes.

I think it would be really cool to put filter forge textures on faces or as tatoos though smile:)
