This is a very stable beta release. Perhaps the most stable beta I've tested. Working from within Photoshop CS on Windows 2000, I've yet to have something crash, or not work.

Also, this filter seems like it could solve a lot of problems, because it can chain a series of adjustments and make the whole thing interactive. This is more control than using actions or adjustment layers.

So I jumped right in to create my first filter, which would be a basic natural media simulation. But I can't find a Color Dodge blending mode, which is the foundation for many of these techniques. So I moved to something easier, like a glamour filter, but I soon gave up on trying to guess what those numbered blending modes are (I was looking for Overlay).

Anyway, if you are taking requests, my short list to make the above filters would be Color Dodge and Overlay. A longer list for the above would add Soft Light, Hard Light, and Linear Dodge. And the ability to specify which modes will be available from within the filter.

There are also Luminosity and Color blending modes, which I use a lot. But it looks like you might have modules in Filter Forge that can break out the color or luminosity and apply it elsewhere.

An finally, Multiply and Screen would be nice additions for some types of adjustments.

Regards,

Andrew

Numbered blending modes? The Processing > Blend component lists all modes by name, with Overlay amongh them. Could you describe or post a screenshot of where did you see the "numbered modes"?

Added these modes to the feature list.

Thanks Andrew!

Actually, we've already found some bugs in the current beta, with one serious bug among them (prevents the program from starting), but I hope we can fix them soon.

I figured out what I am doing wrong. I was trying to attach a slider and picking the mode using the slider. This only gave me numbers. I see now that I have to look over the left panel after adding the mode module, and setting it there.
