Hey there... I'm brand new to Filter Forge, so I'm not sure this is the place to ask, but I was looking for a filter that can do something similar to what I have attached here. To get the image I attached (and linked below), I used dreamscopeapp.com using "The Sketch" filter it has... but it doesn't allow me to download a high enough resolution image for what I need. I was hoping that Filter Forge would have a similar filter that I could use to get somewhat similar effects, but allow a higher resolution image as a result. So far, I haven't been able to find one, but it could be that I don't know what words to use to search for it. Any help or advice anyone might be able to provide would be GREATLY appreciated!
Filter Example Thanks kindly! Dave ![]() |

You are looking for a "deep dream" or a "deep style" look. The idea being that the style of the output comes from one image (say like Van Gogh's Starry Night) and the shapes come from another image (in this case your image on the left). There is a legitimate deep style filter here:
Replay's Deepstyler And this might prove interesting as well: Dreaming, Moderately The trick for you will be picking an appropriate "style" image to use with your photo. Math meets art meets psychedelia. |

As Rick Duim has tell you well, what you want comes from the Google "Deep Dream" technology and there are many apps for tablets and also many software tools available
Is really very difficult to simulate those results on FF but you can try the links of the filters above and see what happens |

Thanks for the reply Rick... this helps me to now understand what kind of filtering I'm looking for. And I see what you mean that the trick will be finding the appropriate style image to use. Being that I'm FAR fr om an art guy, I'd unfortunately have no idea wh ere to start in finding the correct style image. I attempted to use the image I had on the right as the style image, but it wasn't even close to what I was hoping. Does anyone have some guidance on what style image might get close to producing the above?
Thanks again! Dave |
