Quite a number of FF users have updated their Adobe package today to find out the plugin is not supported.
We're working to add support for the plugin, it will be available in the next program update, both for 5.0 and 6.0 beta. If you're using Photoshop and Filter Forge in your workflow please be careful with installing updates that break it. You can still use FF in the standalone mode or under a supported host: https://filterforge.com/download/hosts.html |

I'm one of the hapless victims of the PS 2015.5 upgrade which wiped out 3rd party filters.
![]() I hate using FF in standalone mode. You said that you're working on an update but didn't give a time frame. When do you expect the updates to become available? |

This is why there is the "keep previous version" option when you install it. Make sure you hit that next time since there's typically no guarantee that all plugins behave properly. I realized this with AfterEffects myself so I began making sure I always have previous versions. |

Thanks Skybase. After I installed the software and realized that all of my plugins were gone, I read the Adobe blog and realized there was the "keep previous version" option. But alas, it was too late. So now I just hope that the next FF version is coming sooner rather than later.
Given the existence of this thread, I'm apparently not the only idiot who upgraded nekkid. ![]() Next time Adobe comes out with an upgrade I'll know better. |

There are no fixed dates in software development but we aim for the last days of June, some time next week. Please don't treat these words as a promise! |

Thanks for the estimated time frame. That's helpful.

Awesome. Just reinstalled, and FF is now back. Yay!
This leads to another question. Before Adobe's recent change, when I went to back up my files, I just copied the entire directory to my backup drive: C:\Users\YOUR USER NAME\AppData\Roaming\Filter Forge 5 (Win 8.1) Given Adobe's new setup, would backup work the same? If no, can you please provide backup instructions? Thanks! |

Your backup configuration doesn't depend on Adobe's setup. Different hosts need different plugin settings, and it's up to FF installer to set them up correctly. It is not something you're afraid to lose in case of a crash.
What you are afraid to lose is your collection of filters and settings – and they are indeed located at %APPDATA%\Filter Forge 5\. So yes, your backup will still work. |
