I am new to Filter Forge and having trouble with a basic task.
I am trying to take a 'Value Control' and use it to control the scale of two different 'Perlin Noise' components. For the first perlin noise I want the 'Value Control' to be directly inputted into the 'Scale' property (easy to do). For the second perlin noise I want the 'Value Control' to be multiplied by 0.5 and then put into the 'Scale' parameter. I suppose a simpler way of asking this is how do I do math on just straight numbers? ![]() If anyone could point me in the right direction it would be greatly appreciated! |

Try using Remappers. Also, for your specific situation, you can use a Value control, but you might want to use a regular Slider control instead.
Remappers are as close as you can get to "math on just straight numbers", a.k.a. "gray" inputs. For any "green" input, you can use the RGB math components. |

Thanks! I did not realise it would remap for for multiple 'gray' inputs, that is tremendously useful.
