I think filter forge is a great tool that is worth the money, but before I buy it I would like to know what the full version will contain? The beta has some great filters, but not very much. There a many, many to download here but do I have to search for all the filters with the full version, too? Or will the final filter forge to buy contain ALL the filters that are available here? That would be great! If not, I'm not sure if I would buy, because it is a lot of money to spend

Feature-wise, the full version of Filter Forge will not be different from the current beta. We won't include all filters, you'll have to download them manually.
If you want to download all filters, switch to the built-in Library Browser (Tools > Options > Online > Use Built-In Library browser) -- it allows to select and download multiple filters in batches. |

increased, welcome to FF.
even if you're using a dial-up connection, the filters are pretty small in file size, ranging from 5 or 10KB up to around 300 or so on a few. so, it's a fairly fast download. and, since filters are still being produced, it would be hard to just stuff all of them in the full release. by the time they made the cd with filter forge on it and the existing filters in the library, there'd be 20 more new ones before it arrived at your house ![]() If wishes were horses... there'd be a whole lot of horse crap to clean up!

^ I think Filter Forge is going to prove prophetic many times over, and shift the plate tectonics of how game art development is done.
I'm enjoying using Filter Forge to create http://torley.com/textures |

I do think there is one feature needed in the final commercial version that is indespensible
A search option from with filter forge for those of us with a huge collection of filters the only good way to find what we are looking for is to go online and search It would be nice if the same search capacity worked without having to go to the webpage or click download more filters ![]() lets all whine for a wine port |

I totally agree with Voldemort... I'm experiencing the same thing: mostly when I want to use a filter I go online and search for the filter, even though I know I've already downloaded it before
... and we also want more easter eggs ![]() |

Same thing here. A search function on the FF main UI would be most appreciated. --- Crapadilla says: "Damn you, stupid redundant feature requests!" ;) |
