This has been requested before, such as here.
The synopsis is that the Filter Forge plugin is in 8bf format, but GIMP does not recognize that file format. Apparently, there is a program called PSPI that can help, but I haven't tried it. I have GIMP, but never installed any plugins for it. In case you didn't see it, there is an official list of supported host applications. |

I knew everything you posted but thanks anyway. There is also another way to implement plugins than pspi but it doesn't work either. Hence, my request.

We can't possibly add GIMP until it supports the 8BF standard. Feel free to ask GIMP devs to support 8BF.

GMM is right, that FF can be directly compatible if It is not directly compatible with plugins 8bf, I mean natively done by gimp itself
It seems that there is a way to use Photoshop plugins inside how to install PSPI in gimp for Windows Also Using plugins in Gimp Also there is more information if you put in google "gimp 8bf" Sorry that I have not personally tested it |
