I recently purchased a full license for filter forge 4.0 and would like to give my 3.0 to a friend. the license name is my name. will he be able to use it? the version of 4.0 that I purchased was not an upgrade as far as I can tell.
thank you. |

If I have both a mainframe computer and a laptop, would I need to purchase separate licenses for the two machines? I think some programs allow you to put one piece of software on two computers, but I didn't think to read the license agreement to check on FF.

Yes, you need multiple licenses if you want to install Filter Forge on multiple computers. Here’s the quote from the Filter Forge EULA, the Grant of License section:
d). Standard License. Unless otherwise specifically provided under valid invoicing, purchase order or licensing terms accepted by Licensor in writing (e.g. trial, beta, or multiple user license as specified in a contemporaneous purchase order or agreement) granted by the Licensor upon registration of the Product (online or otherwise as provided by Licensor), Licensee is granted a non-exclusive and non-transferable license to Operate one (1) copy of the specified major version of the Product by one user account in the operating system (“Userâ€) during the Term of this Agreement on one Client Device |

Thank you! I'll think about it -- trouble is I might not get anything else done if I put it on both computers
