We'll add support for CC 2015 in the next program update. Please use Filter Forge in the standalone mode for now.

Is there a way to localise the specific areas of an image to apply the FF effects from the standalone mode like I was utilizing in PS please?

I think that for this you need to save the specific layer to an external file and load it into FF

Or you can save the selected specified areas into an alpha channel in photoshop and then export that channel as an black and white image to be loaded as a selection inside filter forge

Great idea, I have one PC in the house without the CC upgrade *my saving grace* so I'll continue to enjoy for as long as possible...I'd roll back if I could. I use FF in much of my work recently and this is a huge loss of creativity ease for me.

Yes, I too thought about saving the selection, applying the filter then reopening it. Seems easier to just go this route for time being.

ty for sharing smile:)

Update to this - in case it helps others.

Before the upgrade of CC 2015 I used CS6 DS too. But after the upgrade it was gone. This morning I reinstalled and voila everything is there. So this is a great solution for me until the FF fix comes!

Do you have an approximate idea of when the next program update will be to make it work in CC 2015? If it's going to be more than a month away, for example, I'll probably just keep using CC 2014 until then.

Gabby: You can reinstall CC 2014 even if you let the 2015 upgrade remove it. There are explicit instructions with screencaps on InDesignSecrets.com under the article titled "Read This Before Installing InDesign CC 2015!"

I reinstalled CC 2014 and all my old plugins, including Filter Forger, were still there. So the 2015 update only removed the actual program, but none of the other stuff associated with it (at least that's the only conclusion I can come to given that all my preferences, plugins, and custom shortcuts reappeared magically).

Here's the link if this forum allows it: http://indesignsecrets.com/avoiding-p...c-2015.php

I can't promise we'll release a CC2015 update within a month. It has a high priority for us though.

You are welcome. Also, I created custom icons for Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign CC 2104 versions so I could distinguish between them on my taskbar. They look the same as the originals, only the two letter codes (Ps, Ai, Id) are higher up and "2014" appears below. You can download them from my Dropbox if anyone wishes to use them. They are in the .ico format so that you don't have to do anything special in order to use them.

I tried to attach the .ico file, but the forum doesn't let me. Here is the PNG version of the Photoshop CC 2014 icon instead. You'll have to convert it before it can be used as an icon though.

and InDesign.

These JPGs can be converted to icons (.ico files) with free web software. I used the conversion tool at http://convertico.com/

Support for CC2015 in FF 4.0 will go live on Monday. Please note it is a "silent update", without incrementing the program version, and is not detectable by the Tools > Updates feature. You will need to reinstall the latest version from our download page manually.

Update for 5.0beta is planned for July.

Will reinstalling FF cause me to lose all of my existing filters?

No, never! smile:-) Any minor Filter Forge update (within the current version, 4.0) always preserves all your filters and settings.

Um, FF still does not work in PS 2015 (at least from the Creative Cloud). I bought FF over the weekend so I *should* have the latest installed, and it still crashes PS.

I just purchased Filter Forge 5 YESTERDAY, downloaded the application from the website listed on the email sent to me after purchase with the License Key.

I installed the Filter Forge 5 and launched Photoshop CC 2015, opened a photo image and then Filter Forged asked me to purchase or enter the License Key, which I did.

Then sel ected Filter Forge fr om the FILTERS menu and when Filter Forge opens on the left side of the screen I also receive a blue highlighted message box over my image in Phototshop the says "Filter Forge is running - click here to switch", and when I select the CLICK HERE, Photoshop crashes, and a BUG REPORT message is generated, which I have sent to FF three (5) times now.

What is going on and why is your product NOT working for me?

I purchased your product (Filter Forge 5) because I needed it and now it is NOT working and crashing my Photoshop CC.

Same thing happens to me so I don't use the link button. I just use the open task bar icon for filter forge, where the image/layers from photoshop is already open. Everything else works as it should.

WillowRaven, I don't understand how you are getting it to work, can you explain in more novice details?

I have an image open in PS CC 2015 then got to the FILTERS drop down menu and select FILTER FORGE, and BAM I get the message noted above "Filter Forge is running - click here to switch".

I can't do anything, Filter Forge is open on the LEFT side of my screen but yo can't select anything, and in PS you can select or do anything, the ONLY option working is to select the CLICK HER button, and as soon as I do both FF and PS crash and then a message appears to send a BUG REPORT to FF, which I have done now 6 times and no response.

Are you saying there is a different way to get PS CC 2015 to work, HOW?

Thanks for any help.

I don't open FF first. It's closed until I go to filter a particular layer in photoshop. Once I see in the task bar that FF has opened, I don't click the link showing in PS. I click the activated icon below in the task bar. Make sense?

If I'm not explaining it well, let me know via email and I'll give you my phone number so I can talk you through how I do it.

phototec, this is a known issue: clicking that link may cause Filter Forge to crash. Please avoid clicking there even if it says "click here to switch". Just imagine there is no clickable link: you can switch to the FF window by Alt+Tab like any other window.

P.S. I removed your duplicate posts. Please refrain from posting the same question in multiple threads.
