About my filters I just wanted to say i have no delusions about my ability so far with this program if any one can spruce up one of mine or take the concept furthor please do. I will not be offended and dont even care if Im mentioned Just so long as we end up with something more useable I wouldnt even begrudge anyone that got a free copy based off of one of my ideas or methods.

Please do feel free to do so Like I said I know Im not the best at some of this And I feel a few of my filters would be nice if someone with more talent in this area gave them some love

I was just noticing today that you seem to be maturing in your filter making. Keep at it.

yup. lookin good. the trick is to learn what each component can do. i have just recently been studying the alpha components in depth. i always sort of knew what they did, but when you really understand them, then creating with them gets a lot easier. 80% of the work is knowing the tools. the rest is imagination smile:)

Yep you are getting more creative it looks like to. With that new stage one. It looks like that one that could have a lot updates and ideas spawned from that alone.

Well one suggestion that I do have. Is I know this helps me out with the big filters and following the way they work. I try to put the components in an order of sorts.
So if someone looked at them they could follow how it works. Heres a pict of new updated filter I did.

Yeah Im bad about that the fact that Im still mainly tinkering means I use a lot of experimental components here there and everywhere that Im constantly adding and deleting maybe in my next mass update of filters Ill clean up the components screen
Heck Im still trying to figure out what 85% of the stuff does

join the club, vold. i still dont know what some of these things do either. that's why i decided to concentrate on just one component recently. get that one known and then move on. almost all of my early filters were just throw it together and see what it looks like, and if it looks kinda cool, then release it. and that's perfectly fine. we all start somewhere.

i think CF and Uberzev may have more of a background on this stuff than i do, so their stuff looks more technically involved and accurate. they are able to more easily create due to training in other fields, perhaps. byRo is this way too. i'm not. so, i have some steps to learn. but as long as i can crank one out now and then and continue to learn, why, it's all fun and interesting.

and thanks for the open invitation to work on your filters. i may do that. i'm always snooping into other filters to see how things are done. i even borrow a few routines once in a while.

one thing i tend to do with texture filters is, i alter them for my own use. i dont use a lot of texture filters, but i do use a lot of image filters. the difference is simply that textures stand alone and image require an imported image. so, i often alter the texture fitlers to use with images, usually by just adding a blend and image component right before the result.

and CF, someday i'm going to have to look inside your mind to see how you come up with those things smile:)
