I would like to use the commandline renderer and I was successful with the build in presets of the filters. But somehow, I can't commandline render saved user presets of filters.
I noticed, when generating an user preset from a filter, a new xml is saved under "My Presets". But this xml seems useless as it has not information of the depending filter, just settings. So, can someone explain how to commandline render user presets? ![]() Addendum: Somehow, the use of an image isn't working. I tried to commandline render a filter over an external image, but it doesn't load it, instead using the default livesaver image. Snippet:
The commandline says:

So ... 4 days later, not a single dev is able to explain, how user saved presets can be rendered via commandline ... ?!
Do we really have to do it all by ourselfs when it comes to this? |

You didn't provide much information, and from what I see everything works as described in the help file. You're rendering the default preset (#0) of the "Bill's Old Newsprint" filter which involves loading a standard image. You can try loading this particular preset via the GUI and you'll see the same result.

OK, maybe you missed the part where I wrote:
Is this enough information or do I miss something important?
No, actaully rendering a user preset is not covered in the help file and again, no, it is not working as described, because obviously user presets can not be rendered when using command line and posting here would otherwise be pointless if it would work as described. Looking at the (FF)XML files confirm, that it can't be done natively and I would like to know if there is an easy solution for this. Otherwise commandline rendering would be pointless if only filter presets can be rendered.
This is an other issue, but maybe you missed again the point I was writing about:
So, when I use a filter which involves an image I think it's obvious that I want to use my own image and not the standard one. While this is possible via Photoshop and Standalone, with the commandline renderer it's not possible, so I want to know why
is ignored by the renderer.

So, 3 more days are gone and it seems nobody cares to solve this problem ...
Well, as much I like to trial this software and being a potential customer, I don't understand why there is no support and caring from the devs who want $400 for their program. Measured by helpfulness in regard of the program, this software should cost around $20. For me, this is a bit disapointing. So, it looks like there is no interest that this software is sold to users. Bummer. I guess I will then abandon it, too. Thread closed. |

So what? This is not the official place to ask for support.
Command-line renderer renders filter presets. I think it's obvious that you need to create a preset with a custom image before rendering it. |
