Hi,
You can download a Quick Guide for Librarian and Library Backup from: www.robemus.com/doc/FilterForge Library Quick Guide.pdf I tried to explain everything to my best knowledge based on snippets of information from a variety of sources, own experience with using and testing the software and a tiny bit of educated guessing or assumption. Hopefully current users of the software and future (potential) users won't struggle with so much confusion as people did before due to the absence of related documentation and help files. Cheers, Roberto |

Revision januari 11, 2015 has been uploaded (replaces januari 10, 2015).
Sorry for the inconvenience: I found the answer to something that was still not totally clear to me (Librarian v4 requires Library Backup v4 and Librarian v4 won't be compatible with v5 filters). Roberto |

Thank YOU very much for letting me know it turned out to be something useful!
You're the very first one I heard from it being of any use, actually (and I announced the new doc on several places; not only on this forum). After reading so many complaints of the matter not being clear I decided to figure everything out and ask some specific questions on this forum. Then when finished you can understand I was a bit confused I didn't receive any feedback at all. Now I don't mind anymore having "wasted" over a week of my life writing the manual ![]() Please let me know if you find anything untrue in the manual! Like I said, the whole thing was pretty much a one-man's job so I might have failed on some details. Cheers, Roberto |

I clicked on the above link, but it is now a bad link. Is there another link where I can download the quick guide?

The latest version of the Quick Guide for Librarian and Library Backup has been moved to:
https://www.muscia.nl/doc/filterforge/...Forge9.pdf Note that the title of the document also has been changed (Filter_management_options_for_FilterForge9.pdf) which describes the content better. Older versions of the Librarian Quick Guide: FilterForge-Library-5-Quick-Guide.pdf: https://www.muscia.nl/doc/filterforge/...-Guide.pdf FilterForge-Library-4-Quick-Guide.pdf: https://www.muscia.nl/doc/filterforge/...-Guide.pdf The 'latest' version is still from December 2019 but until that time nothing has changed much for years regarding filter management in Filter Forge. Therefore the older versions do not really have additional value. |
