I was wondering why there's a place for update info in the filter tags, when it doesn't get published to that filter's page after you submit an updated filter ? Seems like something that could/should be done no ?

That info is used in the 'Filter Updates' form within Filter Forge.

----O.k., used how ? And why isn't it also published on the filter's info/download page ? I just think that would be a good idea is all, maybe alleviate some confusion in the long run.

Correct me if I am wrong but, I think at one time the update info was on the filters page. But It was only for a couple of weeks or so til the pages changed. If you go to tools-filter updates this window pops open and gives the picture and update info.

http://www.filterforge.com/filters/566.html <----It doesn't say it there though, and ultimately, that's where most people are going to find filters I would think, (Unless I'm the only weirdo who doesn't/didn't just download all 1000+ of them on day one ha-ha). Unless the whole *updates* thing happens even the first time a user logs on to the FF server, and even then, how likely are they to stop and read about updates when they just want to get started ? It's not the end of the world, I just can't think of a single reason why the update info isn't on the filter pages on the FF site is all, and I was wondering why that is, since it seems like relevant info.
