Filter Forge 4 ...
xara pro 10... how do I get xara to see filter forge as a live effect plug in. thanks. |

At the moment Xara doesn't support Filter Forge as a live plugin (though FF works correctly until you try to use the live feature). We've been in contact with the Xara devs and they know about this incompatibility – feel free to nag them and request support for Filter Forge.

You can use FF as a plugin with Xara by locking the effect after it renders which disables the Live effect. It is a bit of a pain because you have to remove the effect and re do the the whole process if you want to make changes.
I have been nagging the folks at Xara and I will continue to do so  |

Hi,
I haven't succeed to make FF6 work with DP365. I added to DP365 Options>Effects & Plugins>Photoshop plugins: C:\Program Files\Filter Forge 6\Plugin\ Since it didn't work, I also tried: C:\Program Files\Filter Forge 6\Plugin\x64\ After added the plugins, when I use DP365's "live effect tool" FF6 isn't listed as a plugin. DP isn't recognizing the filter. What should I do in order to make DP365 recognize FF6 as a plugin? Thank you, Carlos |

Hi Cadudesun, to make Filter Forge run as a plugin with Xdp365 C:\Program Files\Filter Forge 6\Plugin should work. Unfortunately as dumb as this sounds Designer Pro even though fully 64 bit cannot run 64 bit plugins and needs to be pointed at the main plug in folder so it can run the 32 bit plugin included there.
Once you have it running the effects need to be locked as I mentioned above. If it still doesnt work for you Please contact https://support.xara.com/ The more of us that they hear interest in Filter from the better I have asked them a lot but more voices will come through much louder |
