The filters uploaded in the library are for free, so they shouldn't be sold, especially if they are made by other users.
Also consider that nobody would buy filters that can be got here without paying. ![]() In some site I saw textures that, in my opinion, were made with Filter Forge. They were on sale. I don't know who published them, if the creator of the filter or somebody else. I can guess that... 1. If you create a filter 2. You use your own filter to make some texture ...nobody will have anything to say if you sell these textures. I believe that the best way would be to use both Filter Forge and Photoshop, creating packages composed of textures + brushes + styles + actions. If the quality is good, they may succeed to sell. |

untalmau,
I don't see anything saying you can not sell your own created filters. I would recommend you build your own filters yourself thou. I would guess the more complex filters would be best to sell since you don't want to sell anything already made. You CAN sell the image rendered from the filter, but as I have read, and agree, you should give credit if your using another persons filter, even if your releasing the product for free. Again, I don't see why you can't sell your own filters, if it something I missed, please correct me on it. If you do sell your own filters, make sure your doing something really unique with the filter and don't copy anyone else. This way you are not setting yourself up for trouble. Best of luck in your works! Will Lightstorm Game Studio |
