For some reason my FF stopped working.
So I reinstalled it, it updated, but I still get the same error message _________________________________________________ <class XFW::OSCallError> ::CreateProcessW(Filter Forge process'"C:Plugins\Filter Forge 3\Bin\Filter Forge x86-SSE2.exe".SPK:1128/10FC') failed with error code 0x0000005: Access denied. Can someone help please? |

I am not affiliated with FF just a user..
![]() ![]() But it always helps to give more detail that way one can narrow down the issue...Such as can you use FF in stand-alone mode?....What program are you using for FF as a plug-in?....Maybe what filter were you using or had selected at the time.... ![]() Stupid things happen to computers for stupid reasons at stupid times! |

I do not remember what filter I had loaded when FF gave me the error the first time today and I don't remember what default filter it would start with on a reinstall.
I have never run FF as standalone. I assume it's just clicking Filter Forge.exe? I did that and ran it with admin rights and got the message: "Windows couldn't get access to the unit, path or file. Maybe you do not have the necessary rights to get access to the element." (Translated from Danish so the wording is probably different in English) I'm on Windows 7 86bit Trying to run it in Adobe Photoshop CS5 |

Well I run windows7 64 bit..I just ran FF inside of Photoshop CS5 (i use this all the time) without any issue....I updated as well as you......
Try this... Completely close PS then open FF as stand-alone....Choose a texture filter one that does not require an image...Then close FF and open PS back up and give FF a try as a plug-in.... Do you update FF through the plug-in or as stand-alone....If a plug-in perhaps that got wacky while updating that way... Stupid things happen to computers for stupid reasons at stupid times! |

Sorry, of course it is win 7 64 bit I'm running.
As said in my previous post, I can't run it as stand alone either, I get the error message that I tried to translate fr om Danish to English. I uninstalled and reinstalled again and it did open for a short while and asked me to update. Then it wanted to send users statistic and asked me to update again, and it that is wh ere it goes wrong. I now get this error message at the end of the update on the stand alone version Unable to execute file: C:\Program Files (x86)\Filter Forge 3\Bin\Filter Forge x86.exe CreateProcess failed; code 5. Access Denied |

This looks like a permission issue.
Please uninstall Filter Forge via the Control Panel and install it somewhere outside Program Files, for example to C:\Filter Forge\ Make sure to install the latest update to version 3: http://www.filterforge.com/download/s...0Setup.exe |

I just wanted to update and say this error can be marked as solved.
It seemed that I had a virus that affected some of my programs. When I installed a new virus scanner (the old one apparently didn't catch the virus)and had cleaned my drives, filter forge ran again. Later I found, that the Access Denied error is typical for some viruses. |
