Quick question about choosing "this filter is an update", if it's named the same as the one in the FF database, then the new version just replaces the old one when it's submitted/accepted ? Or if not, how does that work exactly ?

If you select to update a filter it will be replaced regardless of whether it's been renamed or not. smile:)

When you choose "this filter is an update", it'll replace your old filter regardless of its name. You'll be prompted to choose the filter to update.
By the way it's possible to have same-named filters in the Filter Library. For example, there are Creepy by SkyStalker, Creepy by Ceilic and Creepy by Vladimir Golovin.
