Hello, I wonder how the history list works in Filter Forge 4.0.7, and how a filter is saved inside the list of used filters.

I mean what conditions are needed for a filter to be saved as a USED filter inside the History list of the Filter Manager

NOT SAVED TO HISTORY LIST

It seems that anything you do inside the Filter editor without SAVING the filter at the end Filter Forge does NOT consider that you have USED that filter and it will not appear in the history list.

1 - Choose a filter, then you double click to open it on the filter editor, modify and edit the settings, add new components or delete components inside BUT you then after cancel any modifications it will NOT appear in the History list, and as far as I know I have USED this filter.

2 - Choose a filter, then you double click to open it on the filter editor, do not modify anything inside the filter, and go directly to "Filter Controls" under Result component AND modify all the settings and choose to view some or all the presets inside that filter and then after cancel it. Is not considered USED either.

3 - Choose a filter and double click to open it in filter editor, go to the menu File-->Open Image and load a new image, then change the components inside the filter, go to "Filter Controls" in Result, and modify settings, and choose some presets, then after go to File--> Save Image As... and save the result and wait for the rendering, AND then click on CANCEL on the filter editor, AND this filter you have obviously USED to render and save a result does not appear in the history list.

4 - Choose a filter and do not modify any of the settings and do not choose any other preset than the default, and ONLY go to the menu File--> Save Image As... and save the result, when rendering DO NOT wait until it ends and click on cancel

5 - If you select any filter, BUT does not do anything else with the filter and just ONLY render the default thumbnail of that filter, if will not be saved to history, and this is of course understandable, as you have only SEEN it and not USED it, so I think this is right.

6 - Choose a filter and double click to open it in Filter Editor, without modifying anything inside, go to menu File--> Save Filter As... and save it then, either click on the Cancel on bottom right to quit Filter editor, or click on the "Save Filter" on bottom right and the name of the filter you have choosen first is NOT saved to the History list as USED when you have really used it

7 - Same as 6, but modifying settings, adding and deleting components, and then save the filter, exit Filter editor (Cancel or Save) and will happen the same as in point 6

NOTE: On the first 3 points, also this happens in the same way if you select a filter and then you open it inmediately in the filter editor what modifying any setting in the settings tab and without choosing any other preset than the default

SAVED TO HISTORY LIST

1 - Choose a filter and then choose any other preset than the first default preset, then this filter is saved to the History list as USED.

2 - Choose a filter and modify any of the settings in the settings tab without not choosing any other preset than the default one, then this filter is saved to the History list as USED.

3 - Choose a filter and do not modify any of the settings and do not choose any other preset than the default, and ONLY go to the menu File--> Save Image As... and save the result and wait for the rendering to end

4 - Choose a filter and double click to open it in Filter Editor, without modifying anything inside, go to menu File--> Save Filter As... and save it BUT after click on the Cancel on bottom right to quit Filter editor

5 - The same as number 4 but instead of clicking on cancel button, click on "Save Filter" on bottom right.

6 - Same as number 4, but modify, add or delete any of the components inside the filter, and then save it clicking on "Save Filter" on bottom right.

NOTE: On point 4, 5 and 6 what is saved to the History list is NOT the filter you have opened, is ONLY the NEW saved filter name.
