The batch renderer seems to be broken in the official FF4.0 release. It appears to be adding a slash '\' at the end of the output filename and then gives an error which reads: "The filename, directory name, or volume label syntax is incorrect."
I've tested older batch files which worked up to and including the FF4 beta, but they also no longer work in the FF4 official release. Here is a full CMD Render log output after trying to run a previously working batch: FFX command-line renderer [12/3/2013 12:25:41 AM Eastern Standard Time] Exception caught at thread 00000C9C 'Application': <class XFW::OSCallError> ::CreateFileW(file 'E:\img_output\Burnished Steel Panel 01 Map_Normal_OpenGL.tga\') failed with error code 0x0000007B: The filename, directory name, or volume label syntax is incorrect. <unknown file>(0) : <unknown function>()+0 at 005C67E8 in C:\Program Files (x86)\Filter Forge 4\Bin\FFXCmdRenderer-x86.exe <unknown file>(0) : <unknown function>()+0 at 005C476C in C:\Program Files (x86)\Filter Forge 4\Bin\FFXCmdRenderer-x86.exe <unknown file>(0) : <unknown function>()+0 at 0045AF7F in C:\Program Files (x86)\Filter Forge 4\Bin\FFXCmdRenderer-x86.exe <unknown file>(0) : <unknown function>()+0 at 005C9CAD in C:\Program Files (x86)\Filter Forge 4\Bin\FFXCmdRenderer-x86.exe <unknown file>(0) : <unknown function>()+0 at 005C9983 in C:\Program Files (x86)\Filter Forge 4\Bin\FFXCmdRenderer-x86.exe <unknown file>(0) : <unknown function>()+0 at 00402744 in C:\Program Files (x86)\Filter Forge 4\Bin\FFXCmdRenderer-x86.exe <unknown file>(0) : <unknown function>()+0 at 00402220 in C:\Program Files (x86)\Filter Forge 4\Bin\FFXCmdRenderer-x86.exe <unknown file>(0) : <unknown function>()+0 at 005C9FA7 in C:\Program Files (x86)\Filter Forge 4\Bin\FFXCmdRenderer-x86.exe <unknown file>(0) : <unknown function>()+0 at 00A8EE6C in C:\Program Files (x86)\Filter Forge 4\Bin\FFXCmdRenderer-x86.exe <unknown file>(0) : <unknown function>()+0 at 0079D6F7 in C:\Program Files (x86)\Filter Forge 4\Bin\FFXCmdRenderer-x86.exe CONTEXT_CONTROL: CS:EIP 0023:7688C41F, SS:ESP 002B:0018EBA0, EBP 0018EBF0, FLAGS 00200216 CONTEXT_INTEGER: EAX 0018EBA0, EBX 00000001, ECX 00000003, EDX 00000000, ESI 007CACA4, EDI 0018EC30 CONTEXT_SEGMENTS: DS 002B, ES 002B, FS 0053, GS 002B I doublechecked the .xml batch file and there is no trailing slash after the output filename, so it seems to be the command line renderer which is inserting it. |
