I have a seemless tile that I am trying to add a "sketchy paint" filter to. However, after adding the filter, the tile loses its seemlessness. Any tips on achieving my goal?

If the box isn't checked for Seamless Tiling, that could be it (bottom of the Settings tab on the left hand side, other page from/tab from the presets). Otherwise maybe the filter uses a gradient or some component that will just not allow it to tile seamlessly.

Well as jffe said that filter does not support seamless function...You would have to modify it in the editor to support that function...That is not always to easy and it might not look the same in the end..

Edit the filter and go to Filter > Overrides... > Seamless Tiling and set it to enabled.

As CFandM said, it doesn´t work for all Filters, as it depends on the components that are used. Some just won´t tile. smile:-)

If you add to a filter that is seamless any Non-Seamless Components then the seamless tiling is disabled

See if you have any of these components in your filter

Examples of non-seamless components include Scale, Rotate, Free Gradient, Free Ellipse, Free Polygon and Free Rectangle.

There is one possible thing you can try to activate again the seamless tiling EVEN if you are suing non-seamless components and is as CFandM and Sharandra have already told you above

Edit the filter and go to Filter > Overrides... > Seamless Tiling and set it to enabled.

You have to change the setting from automatic to enabled

IMPORTANT: As said this possible fix will not always work, and sometimes even activating this the seamless will not happen and will not tile, so the only way is to try and see if it works or not

If it does not work the only way I know is to replace or remove the non-seamless components.

Also is put this in the Seamless Tiling Help page

The Seamless Tiling checkbox is disabled for filters that use non-seamless components.

The Seamless Tiling checkbox may be disabled for filters that override its default behavior.
