Stuck in upgrade decision limbo...

Ok, so I have 6 reward points and an FF3 standard license.
So I need to get a Pro licence for 3 Points, and then earn 2 more points to get lifetime upgrades.

Sooo, I could get Pro now, then try n get the two more points before FF4 comes out, but if I'm not fast enough earning them, I'll be stuck back on FF3.

Or I can wait until FF4 comes out, then get the Pro licence, but then I'm stuck on standard until then.

I was going with the second one, as I didn't really have a use for the normal and specular maps, however since then Second Life has added support for normal and specular maps, so now I wants em!

So, what's everyone think, will I be waiting forever if I wait for FF4 to come out?

If only I could preorder using reward points then I'd have a pro key for FF4 beta already.


of course there is a third option, I could get the pro licence now, then I have 3 points left I could use to get another pro licence for FF4, then i'd need to get 6 more points before FF5 comes out...

What would be helpful is if I knew when FF4 was going to be released. Still only have the 'filter forge 4 will be released in 2013' to go on, but that's starting to seem more unlikely.

So, there is ONLY one month left of 2013 , so it will not be long until the release of the FF 4.0, because I do not think that they would release after 25 December.

I would wait until FF 4.0 is released and then upgrade to FF 4.0 Pro and then you a whole year more to earn those 2 points for the lifetime upgrade before FF 5.0

Paying to have the FF 3.0 Pro now, FF 4.0 Beta now and also the lifetime upgrade now

I think that this option is also good as you will already have from now the lifetime upgrade including already the FF 4.0 inside AND you would not have to wait until the release of FF 4.0, because if you upgrade to FF 3.0 now paying, you can spend the 5 points for the lifetime upgrade NOW (before the FF 4.0 is released) and you will have everything you want without waiting.

BUT of course wanting to have it now and do not wait have the price of 45$, so it depends on if you to have it totally free and pay nothing for the upgrade, or pay 45$ and have everything you want now.

not good option, considering that FF 4 is only a month away AND you do not know when it could be released, it could be also on the 10th or 15th so would be less time.

Not a good option, why get FF 3.0 licence when you can upgrade directly to FF 4.0? and considering there is only one month or less to arrive FF 4.0

This would be a good option, and there will be not much time staying stuck on standard version as it will be already next month and could be earlier than you may think
