How Filtedrforge are treating regular customers

You may not be aware because if you don't clear your web cache, and I mean use something like CCleaner and not just ask EI to clear on exit which doesn't clear copies in your user, you'll never even see it, but filterforge are offering 50% off filter forge 3.0 and the pre-order of the 4.0 upgrade (for new customers only). Yes everyone, you regular customers that have paid up and kept the company viable are never included. I thought you should know if you already didn't, apologies if you do.

Also, You cannot apply a discount you've received as an award to an already existing discount. (Wishful thinking I know, but then again "What's the point of the rewards").

What you do with this information is upto you. I just thought you should know if you already didn't.

P.S Be aware that if you clear you web cache with CCleaner you will no longer be able to log in with your current password. The only way round this is to click the change password option on the log in page and to change the password. Presumably it puts a cook in your cache after doing this.

You asked why I posted this and that I must have bought it in the past, the answer is that I never bought it in the past, just downloaded the beta version.

The reason is that if you've used the filterforge site before and don't clear your browser cache you will never see these offers it doesn't matter if you've bought it or not.

Long story but, I created the eyemaps, biomechanical and another filter when filterforge was in beta. Lost track of the web site for five years, recently revisited the site to buy it but after updating my user details the 50% discount had disappeared. Cleared my web cache and it re-appeared. Tried to log in but could no longer login didn't recognise password. Reset password logged in, but offer had disappeared. Then realised that you saw a different version of the web site if you had visited it before.

Let me put this another way, you've probably lived in your house a number of years and have a local retailer you visit regularly. What if you were to realise that that retailer that you used for a number of years was offering a 50% discount to new customers that but never bother to tell you the person who had been paying full price all these years. Would you consider that right, ethical? This is exactly what filterforge have been doing.

There may be people using version 1.0 or 2.0 that will never see this offer.

I also always see the discounts in my browser. I always use a a fairly recent firefox version

I have checked and I too can´t see any discount active, either way, without login in and entering my login. So I think that it must be a problem with the website

And I have tried 3 different browsers and is the same

I stand corrected.
While it;'s true I see many Filter Forge Discounts. I was not seeing the current 50% off one until I cleared Filter Forge cookies in Fire fox . Then sure enough there it was. Good to know.

This is expected beh * avior: you have asked for a 20% discount coupon which was correctly "taken over" by your personal 50% discount.
