I have downloaded the new Photoshop CC ( I have a subscription to the adobe cloud and as shown in this thread and have tried both Filter Forge 3.0 and 4.0 and both works very well without any problem, at least with the few images I have tried it
You do not need to reinstall filter forge, just go to the old plugins folder of the previous version and copy the "Filters" folder into the new Photoshop CC Plugins folder |

I have tried even more with selections, layers, and transparent background and any way I use it, FF3 and FF4 works right always
I have to say that I forgot to say that what I am saying is ONLY from the Windows 7 64 bit side, as I do not have a Mac to test it, so it could be good if someone with a Mac or someone from the FF team could confirm if it works right and well also in the Mac side |

Nobody else that has a mac and is subscribed to the Adobe Cloud OR is subscribed to the Photoshop subscription alone can test the new FF in Photoshop CC?
I think and suppose that if it works well in windows, it will probably will work well also in Mac, but can´t know it |

I suposse that you are using Windows 64 bits and not Mac.
Well I think that maybe the problem may be that I think that you have to specify WICH version of filter forge plugin you have copied Here is how I have copied it myself and works right C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CC (64 Bit)\Plug-ins\Filters\Filter Forge 3 C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CC (64 Bit)\Plug-ins\Filters\Filter Forge 4 And inside of these you have to copy in each one also the XML configuration file. |

Thanks SpaceRay, I did exactly what you described (including tons of variations) - and still no luck. I only have Filter Forge 3 (preordered v4 but haven't installed the beta).
I always keep getting the same error: <class XFW::ArgumentError> The handle 0020B1C0 is not a valid window handle. And yes, the config file (Filter Forge.config) has been copied into the same folder as the .8bf file. Any other ideas or suggestions, please let me know. |

Well, you can try to reinstall Filter Forge, and so it will detect and see that you have installed the new Photoshop CC and it will install the new plugin inside of it, but for this you must delete the plugin that you have copied inside Photoshop CC
Reinstalling Filter Forge will NOT delete anything and will keep everything as you had before, so there is no danger in this. |

Our installer doesn't detect PS CC yet. @Filstar: have you tried running the 32-bit version of CC with Filter Forge? |

Filstar, Are you using windows or Mac?
OH, Sorry that I thought that FF could detect ANY newer version without having to modify the software, I thought that was something that it was something automatic that any photoshop version could be detected. Then we will have to wait for the new updated version of FF, although meanwhile for me it works very well just putting the FF 64x plugin inside plugins Photoshop CC folder, In windows for me it works, I am sorry that I can´t help anymore as I do not know what may be happening to you |

Thank you GMM abd SpaceRay for your reply! I sent an email to support 36 hours ago but they haven't replied yet :/
Photoshop CS5 - 32bit - Filter Forge plugin WORKS Photoshop CS5 - 64bit - Filter Forge plugin CRASH (of course x64 plugin copied into plugins folder together with .config file). The error message: "<class XFW::ArgumentError> The handle 0012B1B0 is not a valid window handle." appears.

Hey, just checked my emails and support replied back. Great news!
In "Filter Forge.config" set <IndependentUI value="true"/> and it works in Photoshop CC 64-bit! Just thought I let you know. Cheers |

Mac user here, but I won't be of help because I use FF in standalone mode. As for Photoshop, I'm sticking with CS6 until it no longer works. I'm not going to risk my files to the vagaries of a rental system and the cloud. I'm also switching over to PhotoLine as a replacement for Photoshop. |

I am running PS CC on Mac OS X, and I have not been able to get the FF installer to make FF work as a plug-in. It runs fine in stand alone mode.
Edited to add: I tried deleting the Filters folder from my PS CC install, and copying the Filters folder from my old PS CS6 installation over to the PS CC install, and it worked! So it appears to just be an installer issue. ~ Russ |
