Browsing Question

Apologies if this topic is handled somewhere else. I did a brief search and was unable to find anything.

Is there any way to sort the results of a search or just a general category while browsing filters? It seems tremendously stupid to have filter categories produce pages of results in random order with no logical way to sort them, so I'm assuming the problem is with me being ignorant of how to do so.

Ideally I'd like to search by date submitted and/or by version. I attempted to search using 3.0 or 2.0 but that was a bust.

What am I missing, please?
