Hi all

Is there any way to download the filters without updating Filter Forge?
I know this one of the ways to tackle piracy, and it works, but also makes super annoying working with this awesome program when you have it installed in a studio and you don't have the admin privileges. You have to open a ticket, and wait for the systems guy to come, which in some cases can take a few days... Even they are getting pissed off because of my tickets! It's like one a month for the same thing, and they have to update our six computers...

Any solution? I am VERY interested in this as is one of the things that gets in the way of spreading the software through the office

Thanks smile:)

Sure, you can purchase the entire filter library archive.

Does this archive happen to include ALL filters that have ever been submitted to the library... including those that have been removed from the library for various reasons over the years, or is it a compilation of just those that are available right now at this point in time?

I had no idea this existed... wow.
My concern now is... how can we browse the library? Filter Forge 3.0 is not the best filter browser right now... although I think I read this is one of the improvements in 4.0.... right?

Also, this solves a big part of the problem, but still leaves the doubt of what happens with new filters, which are the ones using the latest version of the program, which means they will be more advanced

Thanks smile:)

If you buy it today, the answer is YES. We update the backup file once a week (or maybe once in 10 days)

Interesting question, and as far as I know, the FF Library you would buy will ONLY have the filters that are NOW in the online library, all updated to the latest version, and the ones that have removed will not be included. Also would not be included the filters that would be released AFTER the last backup have been done in the week or 10 days time. Please if this is not right and not this way, please correct it

The only way to browse the library you buy is to install it inside the FF Library folder as the filters are not named in the files, the have just numbers, BUT you can also search in the FF online library AND see carefully the link in the adress bar above and at the end will be a number, and this is the number that will be in the library you have bought, so you can search and install only that filter alone

I do not know if perhaps this other thread could help a little more IF you install the filters you buy inside the FF Library folder
