![]() Extrusions and Textures gives you a look at how Xara's 3D extrusion features can be used to quickly and intuitively create 3D objects and I show a look at how filters can be created (or exsisting ones altered) to apply textures to Xara's extrusions! Watch the video here! |

Hi Angelize, I have been looking at Filter Forge for awhile now and I couldn't pass up the sale so I finally grabbed it.
I loved your tutorial and I'm in the middle of the second one. Just took a quick break. How did you get Filter Forge as a plugin for Xara? I downloaded and installed it and it is a standalone, as far as I can see. |

Thanks for the link to the Youtube vids. I look forward to them.
I also grabbed Genetica, which is not as newbie user friendly. They both work the same way but FF seems easier to use to me. We will see though. I'm so slow at learning...sigh. |

Genetica is also much more expensive than Filter Forge.

I'ved watched a couple more of your videos. I enjoy them.
Genetica is on sale right now and I think that I spent around the same amount of money for both. You have to love a good sale ![]() ![]() It's Xara I'm so disappointed with. I feel like the money I spent to upgrade from 2 to 3, then 3 to 4, then 4 to 5, then 5 to designer7 was wasted. Nothing really new for me (for what I do) in any of them. 5Pro was my best value and I still use it the most though you mention the magic snapping in PD7. If I could have all that money back I could afford Xara Design Pro that you use. I love that eraser and shape maker. |
